These Fragments of the Kings Colour of the 80th Foot Having Been Recovered From An American Tourist Who Stole Them Remained In The Armoury Of The Palace Valletta When The Colours Where Handed Back To The Ordnance In 1905
The Colours Were Placed in the Armoury On St George's Day 1829 And These Fragments Were Presented To The 2nd South Staffordshire Regt (80th) Foot By The Governor And Commander In Chief Malta
